A former disused nightclub situated beneath the Croydon flyover has undergone a remarkable transformation, emerging as a vibrant hub of culinary and social activity.

The revitalized space now houses three distinct ventures, with Ponte Nuovo Restaurant leading the charge as the inaugural establishment to welcome patrons through its doors.

The ambitious redevelopment endeavour demanded a comprehensive redesign of the entire building, reimagining it to accommodate an upscale Italian restaurant, an inviting café, and a stylish late-night bar nestled in the basement. Each venue boasts its own entrance, seamlessly interconnected by two flights of stairs discreetly positioned at the building’s rear.

Design team revamped the fascia, opting for split-face marble in light hues and clean lines to create a modern and inviting atmosphere. Additional windows were strategically incorporated to serve as both a back-bar and wine display, allowing natural light to filter into the restaurant, enhancing its ambiance.

With a seating capacity of 150, Ponte Nuovo has quickly become
one of the most sought-after and stylish Italian eateries in Croydon. Blenheim Design boldly departed from the obvious Italian ristorante trattoria design, opting instead for a muted aesthetic that exudes contemporary elegance and charm.

Entrusted with the task of breathing new life into the erstwhile dilapidated nightclub, restaurant design team embarked on a journey to create an ambiance of unpretentious sophistication
within Ponte Nuovo Restaurant. Their vision encompassed not only crafting an inviting modern Italian restaurant interior but also incorporating private dining rooms and a dedicated bar area for crafting exquisite cocktails.
